Biography
Annie McDermott’s translations from Spanish and Portuguese include The Luminous Novel and Empty Words by Mario Levrero, as well as works by Fernanda Trías, Selva Almada, Ariana Harwicz and Lídia Jorge. In 2022, she was awarded the Premio Valle-Inclán for her translation of Wars of the Interior by Joseph Zárate.
Kit Schluter has translated books by authors including Rafael Bernal, Copi, Jaime Saenz, Anne Kawala, Olivia Tapiero and the French Symbolist Marcel Schwob. He co-edited Salones de Belleza (an anthology of contemporary Mexican and Latin American poets) and is the author of the illustrated short story collection Cartoons and the poetry collection Pierrot’s Fingernails.
