The Get ’em Young Tour continues on Wednesday, October 19th in Brooklyn, with Robin McLean in conversation with Anna Moschovakis at Greenlight Books Fort Greene location. Dion Graham, actor and narrator of the audiobook of Pity the Beast, will appear as a special guest, reading from the collection. This event is free and in-person.
Anna Moschovakis works with poetry and prose as a writer, editor, translator, publisher, teacher, and designer. Her most recent books are the English translation of David Diop’s At Night All Blood Is Black (Frère d’âme), the Belladonna* chaplet from ‘Preliminary Notes on Risk,’ and the novel Participation. She was raised mostly in California and lives mostly in New York.
Dion Graham, from HBO’s The Wire, also narrates The First 48 on A&E. An award winning and critically acclaimed actor and narrator, he has performed on Broadway, Off Broadway, internationally, in films, and in several hit television series. From Baldwin to Eggers to Mosley to Sagan his performances have been praised as thoughtful and compelling, vivid and full of life
