Edinburgh International Book Festival 2019

Love in the time of #metoo:

Authors Lina Wolff, The Polyglot Lovers and Ayelet Gundar-Goshen, Liar will be discussing their respective novels, exploring themes of sex, consent and violence.

Lina Wolff’s debut novel, Bret Easton Ellis and the Other Dogs, published by And Other Stories in 2016, was awarded the Oxford-Weidenfeld Translation Prize, Sweden’s Vi Magazine Literature Prize, and was shortlisted for the 2013 Swedish Radio Award for Best Novel of the Year. Her second novel, The Polyglot Lovers, won Sweden’s biggest domestic literary prize, the August Prize, as well as the Svenska Dagbladet Prize, and has been translated into 17 languages. A collection of short stories is forthcoming from And Other Stories in 2020.

Ayelet Gundar-Goshen is an award-winning novelist and clinical psychologist based in Israel. Her novels One Night, Markovitch and Waking Lions, both published by Pushkin Press, have been translated into 14 languages. She is an occasional correspondent for the BBC, TIME magazine and Israeli media.
