Born to an English mother and Swiss father in Brazil, Stefan Tobler lived in northern Brazil, southern England and eastern Germany before settling in England’s North Country. He is the publisher at And Other Stories and his translations include works by Clarice Lispector, Raduan Nassar, Antônio Moura, Lutz Seiler and Arno Geiger, which have been long- and shortlisted for prizes including the Helen and Kurt Wolff Prize, the Schlegel-Tieck Prize, the Oxford-Weidenfeld Translation Prize and the Man Booker International Prize.
