Clarissa Botsford studied Italian at Cambridge and Comparative Education in London before moving to Rome, Italy. She currently teaches English and Translation Studies at Roma Tre University, plays the violin, viola, quintone and mandolin in early music groups and a folk ensemble, and has recently trained as an independent celebrant. She translates contemporary Italian fiction and poetry.
