A special congratulations to Preti Taneja for the shortlisting of Aftermath for this year’s British Book Awards in the Discover category! The Nibbies are the British publishing industry awards and the Discover category is a prize that not only awards literary quality but also the work of the author and the publisher in the book’s life. In our application we highlighted the standard of care and consideration we aimed to adhere to when publishing this extraordinary work. It is the second year in a row that an And Other Stories title has been one of the five shortlistees for the Book of the Year in the Discover category, with Tice Cin’s Keeping the House making the shortlist in 2022.

The discover shortlist includes:

The Secret Diaries of Charles Ignatius Sancho by Paterson Joseph (Dialogue Books)

As Long As the Lemon Trees Grow by Zoulfa Katouh (Bloomsbury Publishing)

Carrie Kills A Man by Carrie Marshall (404 Ink)

I’m a Fan by Sheena Patel (Rough Trade)

Home is Not a Place by Johny Pitts and Roger Robinson (William Collins, HarperCollins)
