We are delighted to announce that four of our esteemed translators have been shortlisted in five out of the seven categories for the 2018 Society of Authors’ Translation Prizes.
- Gini Alhadeff is among four shortlisted translators for The TA First Translation Prize for her translation of I Am the Brother of XX by Fleur Jaeggy. She is also one of five shortlisted translators for The John Florio Prize for the same title.
- Translator and publisher Stefan Tobler is one of the five translators shortlisted for The Schlegel-Tieck Prize for his translation of The Old King in His Exile by Arno Geiger.
- Sophie Lewis, translator of our upcoming title To Leave with the Reindeer by Olivia Rosenthal, has been shortlisted among five other translators for The Scott Moncrieff Prize for her translation of Blue Self-Portrait by Noémi Lefebvre.
- Frank Perry is one of four shortlisted translators for The Bernard Shaw Prize for his translation of Lina Wolff’s Bret Easton Ellis and the Other Dogs.
