To welcome Elvira Dones to the UK, her first event will be the very first in a new series of intimate dinners with And Other Stories authors.

Places are limited to one table and we’ll be rotating after each course, so everyone will have a chance to chat to Elvira, translator Clarissa Botsford and at least one person from And Other Stories.

We are teaming up with MPT for a special event at the Brighton Festival, including the launch of MPT’s Brazil-themed issue and a sneak preview reading from our forthcoming title Nowhere People by Paulo Scott, read by its translator Daniel Hahn. (Also: a one-off chance to buy early copies.) And by the way, Angélica Freitas, the other half of the event, is a brilliant poet! Read one of her poems here.
