Ivan Vladislavić visits New York and Chicago for the American launch of his much loved and acclaimed novel Double Negative.
Double Negative is beautifully, surprisingly written, and so perceptive about art, growing up, generational differences and the way people and relationships change. We love the honest complexity of life in his books.
This is a rare and special chance to hear him. If you know someone who lives in or near New York or Chicago, would you please tell them about these upcoming events at the Seminary Coop Bookstore and 192 Books? It’s a long trip from South Africa and we would love him to be welcomed warmly.
Chicago – 6pm, Wednesday 30th October
Seminary Coop Bookstore, 5751 S. Woodlawn Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60637
New York City – 7pm, Monday 4th November
In conversation with the novelist Teju Cole, who wrote Double Negative’s introduction.
192 Books in Manhattan, 192 Tenth Avenue at 21st Street, New York, NY 10011
He will also be conducting interviews. For US publicity queries, please get in touch with our brilliant New Yorker: Sarah Russo firstname.lastname@example.org .
